About this event

The 7th Annual RCF-ECGI Corporate Finance and Governance Conference will be hybrid, held both online and in person at Real Centro Universitario Escorial-Maria Cristina, San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Spain, on 9-11 October 2026

The conference is held in collaboration with European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI).

We invite the submission of original papers on all aspects of corporate finance and corporate governance.  There is, of course, no obligation to submit to RCF as part of the conference.

Topics of interest include: capital structure, corporate and securities law, corporate culture, corporate failure, corporate finance and public policy, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, corporate social responsibility, crowdfunding, dividends, payout policy, and repurchases, entrepreneurial finance, family business, financial contracting, financial intermediation, financial literacy, fintech, fraud, innovation, IPOs and SEOs, mergers and acquisitions, misconduct, private debt, private equity, trade credit, socially responsible investments, sustainable finance, real options, gender and corporate governance and venture capital.

The conference offers an interdisciplinary forum to gain feedback on timely working papers from scholars in finance, entrepreneurship, innovation, international business, law, management and accounting disciplines.

Submission Deadline:

Friday, 1 May 2026. A full paper is preferred, but if necessary you may submit a shorter 10-page abstract if a completed paper will be ready one month prior to the conference.

Review of Corporate Finance Award Announcement

The $1000 Award for the best paper published in the Review of Corporate Finance (RCF) (Volume 6 Issues 1-4, 2026) will be announced at the conference.  Prior award winners for 2021-2025 are listed here

Conference Awards:

There will be 2 best paper ($300 each) and 2 best discussant ($200 each) awards, consistent with the 5 prior Boca Conferences.  The awards are generously sponsored by the Centro de Economía Política y Regulación (Instituto CEU de Estudios de la Democracia)Cátedra USPCEU–Mutua Madrileña and the Cátedra CEU-MOEVE Digital.

To attend the 7th Annual RCF–ECGI Corporate Finance and Governance Conference, participants may choose between in-person or online registration.

All in-person registrations include access to all conference sessions, coffee breaks, lunches, and social events.

By bus

From Madrid Airport take Metro Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios station and change to Metro Line 6 to Moncloa. From the Moncloa Interchange Bus Station, direct buses to San Lorenzo de El Escorial are available on lines 664 and 661.

By train from the airport

From Madrid Airport T1, T2 and T3, take Metro Line 8 to Nuevos Ministerios station.

From Madrid Airport T4, take the Cercanías C1 train to Nuevos Ministerios station. From there, take the Cercanías C8A train to El Escorial.
